About the Program
Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit work, social services, or creative fields? SHARE! The Self-Help and Recovery Exchange offers a professional, unpaid internship program ideal for students, recent graduates, and anyone seeking career-building experience in a purpose-driven environment.
Each position provides meaningful opportunities to contribute to our mission of supporting mental health, recovery, and community building.
Available Intern Positions
Housing Placement Intern
Location: Remote or On-Site
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls from potential residents and screen applicants.
- Conduct initial intake assessments for SHARE!’s Collaborative Housing Program.
- Assess applicants’ eligibility and assist with housing placement.
What You’ll Gain:
- Skills in intake procedures, housing assessments, and client interaction.
- Knowledge of housing eligibility and support services.
- Real-world experience in social services and nonprofit operations.
Ideal For: Students in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or Public Administration.
Facility Maintenance Intern
Location: On-Site (SHARE! Facilities)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with building repairs, maintenance, and landscaping.
- Manage inventory of tools and supplies.
- Build relationships with contractors and service providers.

- Skills in facility maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.

Event Coordination Intern (Culver City & Downtown)
Location: On-Site
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage SHARE! events, including workshops and fundraisers.
- Coordinate logistics, volunteers, and vendor relations.
- Promote events to engage the community.

Peer Support Specialist Intern
Location: SHARE! Culver City, Downtown, or Recovery Retreat
Responsibilities:
- Assist in facilitating support groups and providing peer support.
- Help clients connect with recovery resources.
- Collaborate with trained specialists to offer guidance.
