CEO Ruth Hollman founded SHARE! in 1993. She conceptualized, planned, developed, and implemented SHARE! Collaborative Housing as an immediate, effective solution to house people and overcome barriers to housing.

 

Ruth has been a key figure in the Los Angeles County service system for over 25 years. She was appointed to the LA County Department of Mental Health Systems Leadership Team from its inception to its disbandment.

In 2007 Ruth received the Chairman’s Award from the LA County Mental Health Commission and the Department of Mental Health for her work on the design and implementation of the Los Angeles County Mental Health Services Act.

In 2013 Ruth accepted the Award for Outstanding Program for SHARE! Collaborative Housing from the Los Angeles County Mental Health Commission. In 2016 Ruth received the American Psychological Association Division 27 award for Distinguished Contributions to Practice in Community Psychology for all of her innovative work implementing research into practice at SHARE!.
