Fran Jemmott helps launch Working Students Support Network
Fran Jemmott, who has been a longtime supporter of SHARE!, helped the successful launch of the Working Students Support Network at Los Angeles Southwest College.
The energy and interaction was contagious as students, staff and community members engaged on issues of interest and importance, and linked with community partners, including SHARE!
In the coming weeks, there will be recruitment and training of peer helpers; the data base and referral system will take form; the community consultants of Social Action Partners will conduct a capacity building workshop for non-profits; and will conduct additional outreach.
